Unfindable Inquiry

Finding the Unfindable

With the Unfindable Inquiry,  we are looking for an actual self or identity almost as if it is a real object – something that can be located definitively. For many people this identity is bound up with judgments of one sort or another: “Goodie Two Shoes”, “the loser”,”the unlovable one”, “the old bag”, “the bad parent”, etc. These are referred to as core deficiency stories, and most of us have more than a few of these that are running at any given time. A trained facilitator would help you to identify some of these and look at each one separately to find the one with the most “charge”, which may then be the jumping off point for a session of Inquiry.
